Licensed Asbestos Operative (Yorkshire)
Job Summary
As a Licensed Asbestos Operative, you are responsible for the safe removal, handling, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in accordance with industry regulations, company procedures, and health and safety standards.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict protocols, and compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Daily Responsibility
- Prepare and secure the work area, including enclosures.
- Follow health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Inspect and ensure PPE/RPE are in good condition; perform daily fit testing.
- Implement dust suppression techniques and monitor dust levels.
- Conduct decontamination of equipment and personnel.
- Set up and maintain the decontamination unit.
- Ensure all training records and certifications are up-to-date and available for inspection.
